A reminder that only informs is worth little. The one that works **asks for an answer**: confirm, change or cancel. Because a cancellation a day ahead can be filled; a no-show at nine in the morning can't.
ClaudIA sends the reminder as far ahead as you decide and handles the reply in the same conversation: if the patient confirms, the appointment is marked; if they want to move it, it moves it; if they cancel, the slot goes back into the calendar and is offered to the waiting list.
How it works
- You choose how far ahead the reminder goes out (24 hours before, for example).
- The message explicitly invites them to confirm, change or cancel.
- Confirmed appointments are marked in your calendar, so the team knows what to expect from the day.
- If the patient can't come, the slot is freed and re-offered on its own.
The afternoon before
Of eight reminders, six confirm, one moves to Friday and one cancels. That cancelled slot is offered to the waiting list and filled the same afternoon. The next day the calendar runs full.
